Reminiscence is a very short game when you play through it only once. However, to unlock the True Ending, you need to do a bit of work. The are two parts to this guide: one part with brief hints for your quest to achieve the true ending, and one part with the full walkthrough.

There will be spoilers in this guide.

Brief Hints:

• The instrument qín is very important. Music is communicative. How Qiáo Qīng plays will affect how she is perceived by a master of the instrument.

• Qiáo Qīng's choices throughout the story affects Zhōu Yú's perception of her.

• In a single playthrough, key memories are only unlocked when Zhōu Yú's affection for Qiáo Qīng is high enough. Once again, qín is very important. The order of choosing the items is also very important.

• The True Ending can only be unlocked once all four key memories have been unlocked.

• The True Ending can only be unlocked when Qiáo Qīng's sentiments are positive overall.

There are 3 different pieces which rotate at random. Two of the three pieces are very similar, so you may need to listen to the very end before playing.

To get the True Ending, you need to play through the game at least three times. You can press Ctrl on your keyboard to skip seen dialogue.

Playthrough 1:
Item 1: Qin - "Stay here and study the score" - play the piece correctly
Item 2: Pearl - "Stare right back"
Item 3: Pillow/Sachet

Playthrough 2:
Item 1: Qin - "Stay here and study the score" - play the piece correctly
Item 2: Sword - "Ask Zhōu Yú to return swiftly after visiting Sūn Cè"
Item 3: Scroll - "Disadvantaged enemies need not be feared" - "The winds are against the Cáo Army"

Playthrough 3:
